There are many ways you can support Stroud Court and your help is absolutely vital.
While our residents’ local councils cover the cost of their living expenses, we receive no government or local authority funding to develop and improve Stroud Court or even to take the residents away on a holiday. Any new residential house, communal building or vital therapeutic facility has to be funded entirely by our kind supporters.

Make your donation go further
Gift Aid is a wonderful way to increase the value of your donation as it allows us to reclaim the tax on your gift. A donation of £100, for example, is actually worth £140 with Gift Aid. To participate, simply download and complete our Gift Aid form.

You don’t have to donate money to be one of our supporters. We’re always looking for ways to bring our work into public view through fundraising. Your time, your energy, and your creativity really is just as important to us. Here are some of the other ways you can help Stroud Court.
Organise a fundraiser or sponsored event
Coffee morning or sponsored bike ride? Pub quiz or bingo night? There are lots of ways you can help raise money for Stroud Court and raise the profile of the work we do. You choose the event and we’ll give you advice, moral support, and plenty of printed materials to help it go well.
Donate something for our next raffle
You may have seen Stroud Court represented at a local fair or community event. We often hold raffles and if you have something you’d like to donate — an item or even a service — please do get in touch.
Bring the subject of autism to your workplace or organisation
Lack of awareness about autism in adults is often the biggest obstacle to broader support. If you and your colleagues would like to know more about the work we do, we’d be happy to come in and give you a talk.
Introduce us to an individual or group you think might help us
If you know someone who might be interested in the work that Stroud Court does and has the ability to support us at a fairly significant level — like the trustee of a charitable trust or an executive of a large company — please introduce us.

Leaving a legacy to Stroud Court. Remembering Stroud Court in your will is a wonderful way to make a lasting impact on our community.
As we are a small charity, any gift will help us build a better future for the autistic adults we support. Remember, all gifts left to registered charities are free from inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
How to leave a gift to Stroud Court in your will
There are several different ways you can leave us a gift.
You don’t have to rewrite your will to leave a gift to Stroud Court. You can simply update your will by writing a codicil. (Codicil is the legal term for an addition to an existing will). If you would like to leave us a gift, please download our codicil form.
Please be sure to talk with your solicitor first to make sure that your wishes and the interests of your family are being fully considered.
Get your company involved and everybody benefits
Stroud Court receives no government funding for so many of the things which improve the lives of our residents. The money for sensory equipment, music therapy, day trips, and even holidays has to come from elsewhere. And that’s why the support of our corporate partners is so vital.
If your organisation is able to help us financially, know that anything you give will have a direct and positive impact on the well-being of our residents.
And as we are a local charity, partnering with us gives your staff and stakeholders the opportunity to see first-hand the difference their support is making.
Our partners are always welcome to join us for volunteering days where we work as a team on projects in the gardens and grounds.
